Thom's Map — In 1899 Thom's Directories moved away from using Ordnance Survey provided six-inch maps stating "A new feature this year is the introduction of a Map of Dublin City and Environs specially designed and prepared for Thom's Directory and most carefully executed with regard to accuracy and detail. In it the City Wards are printed in colour and the Township boundaries marked. At the present time this should prove invaluable to our subscribers." Maps rarely stayed with their parent publication very long and there is not, at present, any study that can help us place orphaned post-1898 coloured maps to their parent year. Bacon Map — In 1893 the London firm of G. W. Bacon started producing a coloured six-inch map of Dublin. Unfortunately, as with the Thom's maps, the Bacon maps did not display dates of issue. Placing the map in time therefore requires looking at the features it contains. In this case we still have 'Sackville Street' indicating that this is one of the earlier maps. This is a PDF file that has the map key added as bookmarks. The Bacon map indexes are often very inaccurate and the bookmarks follow what is actually printed on the map in most cases. OS 1912 6-inch Map — Revised in 1907-8 this shopworn and hand-coloured map still offers far greater detail and accuracy over the Bacon and Thom's maps. Format: jpeg | OS 1912 Map

Thom's Dublin Directory 1904
This digital version of Thom's Dublin Directory 1904 was created using a unbound copy of the directory which was in the possession of Clive Hart along with all his other copies of Thom's Directory. This copy is one that had been used to create one of the early microfiche versions of the directory. For this digital version the original pages were scanned anew in colour at 300dpi. Note: As part of the processing Adobe Acrobat 'Text Recognition' tools were applied to the files. This has provided a limited text search ability, which is useful, but due to the difficult nature of the text this has severe limitations which can be seen if you copy and paste a section of text.
Thoms - part 1 — The early parts of this first section have some Irish-centric material such as the calendars and market towns and fairs listings but the bulk of this section deals with the United Kingdom Royal household, Parliament and Civil Service. Format: pdf | Thoms 1904 part 1
Thoms - part 2 — Starts off with the Irish peerage, government, education, legal and ecclesiastical directories before moving on to County and Borough directories. Finishes with the start of the 'City of Dublin' section. Format: pdf | Thoms 1904 part 2
Thoms - part 3 — This part is likely to be the most useful section for Ulysses readers as it contains the main Dublin-centric material including the Dublin and County street directories along with the Trades directory. Format: pdf | Thoms 1904 part 3

A Wake Newslitter — A digital version of A Wake Newslitter was made availble on CD-ROM in the year 2000 by Split Pea Press. It has now been decided to make this available for free in order to make the material more available and prevent people re-inventing scholarship. The advantage of this edition is that it benefits from the errata accumulated since the CD material was pressed. For those with the original CD files - and as the list contains errors in the original printings - here is a link to the AWN errata file. Format: pdf | AWN
A Finnegans Wake Circular — In the mid 1980s the Finnegans Wake Circular took over the baton from the Newslitter and pioneered and promoted the genetic study of Finnegans Wake.
